Transform Your Self-Care Routine into a Ritual

Carving out time from a busy schedule to take care of yourself can sometimes feel like another task on the to do list. Something that is meant to be enjoyable can be spoiled by a feeling of obligation. In this experiential workshop, you’ll learn the secret to enjoying self-care is through a shift in mindset. 


What we’ll do:

We will discuss the five dimensions of self-care: physical, mental, spiritual, emotional and social. We will learn how we can bring purpose and presence into our self-care and create nourishing rituals that make us feel good from the inside, out. Attendees will develop their own rituals with the help of actionable tips, like activating the senses with alluring aromas. After we’ve awakened our senses, Rupa Health will lead us through an acupuncture demonstration and we’ll end the session with a short meditation.

Laura advises and represents startups and emerging growth in raising money, on legal strategy, general corporate legal matters, licensing of intellectual property, and international relations. Named superior service provider to Clear Ventures, she represents three early seed companies in their portfolio and other early seeds in IoT, BlockChain, ecommerce, etc. As an experienced board member, she served on the Board of startups and one publicly traded technology company (FRONTEO AND UBIC on the Tokyo Stock Exchange) and is current Founder Advisor for music technology, fin-tech and BlockChain companies.

Ann is a seasoned healthcare leader, helping to create, launch, and scale innovative tech companies and products that have improved patient outcomes and access to care. At Lisa Health, Ann is leading a team fusing technology and behavioral science to improve the wellbeing of midlife women. She is passionate about women's health and advancing research to reduce the serious and costly health risks that women face as they age. 

Dr. Hemalee Patel

Dr. Patel is board certified in Internal medicine currently practicing as a hospitalist in San Francisco, California. She is on staff at Stanford University Hospital & Clinics, where she was previously a clinical instructor, and also practices as an outpatient wellness physician at Crossover Health-Facebook Headquarters. Known as a leader in the lifestyle medicine movement, Dr. Patel is a frequent speaker on topics related to empowering and educating individuals using the latest advances in health and wellness to prevent and control the development of chronic diseases and achieve balanced lifestyles. She also speaks about how lifestyle approaches can optimize energy levels and productivity. 

Jennie Yang

Jennie Yang is a strategic and operational consulting leader with nearly 10 years of experience designing business strategies and driving organizational transformations for Fortune 500 companies, startups, and health systems. Currently, she is Director of Customer Success at 15Five, a continuous performance management company on a mission to create the spaces where people become their greatest selves. Jennie is also a leadership coach and facilitator who helps unlock the potential of individuals, teams, and organizations. Certified as a Master Practitioner of Transformational Neuro-Linguistic Programming (tNLP), Jennie runs her own coaching business (https://www.jenniemaeyang.com/) to serve women who have a wholehearted desire to experience a life well lived. By integrating meditation, mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and tNLP, she helps her clients shift their inner experience and discover their joy of being.

Allison Marshall

Professionally, Allison works at a digital health start-up in data analytics, leveraging her 10+ years in the biopharma industry. Outside of work, she balances her life as a ‘corporate yogi’ teaching yoga in the Bay Area, and as a director for a national non-profit organization. Her passion for health, wellness, and self-care blossomed out of a deep desire to find harmony in her own life and help others do the same. She utilizes tools from yoga, mindfulness, and Ayurveda to infuse her practice and teachings. Allison holds a BA in Biology from Wellesley College and an MBA from MIT Sloan.

Rachel Gadiel is a wellness expert and the founder of Bloom Rituals - a company dedicated to shining a light on mental health being an essential part of our happiness and well-being, and bringing the magic back into daily self-care practices.


After a decade in the corporate world of advertising and marketing, Rachel found herself burned out and wildly out of alignment with what brought her joy and purpose. A shift in gears led to following her natural passion for health and wellness where she became a certified Health Coach, a trained Life Coach and a certified 200RYT yoga teacher. 


Her mission is focused on empowering busy women, burned out from the stress of modern life, to take better care of themselves with nourishing self-care rituals so they can bloom to their best self.

Tara Viswanathan

Tara (B.S. Wharton & M.S. Stanford) spent the last 10 years obsessed with studying how people can make better health related decisions. From working hands on with chronically ill patients to becoming a certified nutrition counselor to designing Stanford research experiments on the mind-body connection - she’s developed deep experience across the health space throughout her career. Now, Tara is founder & CEO of Rupa Health, an integrative health tech company that helps patients access top alternative healthcare providers in their area. (P.S. Rumor has it, they’re hiring 😉) Tara's also an aspiring instagram comedian. :)
